Automatic Bundle Pricing

What the App does

Automatic Bundle Pricing helps merchants keep Shopify bundle variant prices in sync with the prices of their component variants. When component prices change, the App can recalculate bundle prices and update them in Shopify. The App can also store per-bundle discount settings.

Data we access and collect

The App primarily works with product and variant data in your Shopify store. We only access data needed to provide the App’s functionality.

• From Shopify APIs: product IDs, variant IDs, product titles, variant prices, and bundle-related product information needed to compute and write updated bundle prices.
• App settings stored in Shopify: the App stores settings on bundle products using product metafields in the app namespace (for example: an “enabled” flag and a “discount” value).
• Webhooks: the App may receive Shopify webhooks related to app lifecycle events (for example, uninstall) and product/variant changes so it can keep prices in sync.
• Support communications: if you email support, we receive the information you include in your message (such as your name, email, store domain, and issue details).
• Operational logs: like most services, we collect basic logs for reliability and security (for example: timestamps, request identifiers, and error details). We don’t use these logs to track end customers across stores.

Customer data

The App does not require access to protected customer data (such as customer names, emails, phone numbers, or addresses) to function. It is designed to operate on product and pricing data.

How we use data

• Provide the App’s core functionality (bundle price syncing and discounts).
• Store and apply your configuration (enabled status and discount settings).
• Maintain app lifecycle behavior (for example, responding to uninstall events).
• Provide support, troubleshoot issues, and improve reliability.
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms (if applicable).

How we share data

We do not sell merchant or customer data. We share data only as needed:

• With Shopify: the App reads and writes data via Shopify APIs and receives Shopify webhooks as part of providing the service.
• With service providers: we use infrastructure providers to host and operate the App (for example, the App is served from automatic-bundle-pricing.vercel.app). These providers process data on our behalf under contractual confidentiality and security obligations.
• For legal reasons: if required to comply with applicable law, respond to lawful requests, or protect our rights and users.

Data retention

• Metafields stored in Shopify: settings stored on your products remain in your Shopify store until you change them or remove them.
• Server-side data: if we store limited install/billing state or operational logs, we retain it only as long as needed for the purposes described above, then delete or de-identify it.
• Uninstall: uninstalling the App stops further access to your Shopify data. If you want help identifying or removing App-created metafields, contact support.

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect data, including using secure transport (HTTPS) and limiting access to authorized personnel and systems. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to maintain appropriate safeguards for the App’s scope.

Your rights and requests

Depending on your location, you (and your customers) may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of personal data. To submit a request, email support+automaticbundlepricing@shopmods.co and include your store domain and details of what you need.

International transfers

The App may process data in countries other than your own (for example, where our hosting providers operate). Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in the App or legal requirements. We’ll revise the effective date above when we do.
